Alia2 Foundation was invited to the debut of the new Volunteer Portal of the Madrid Community

Alia2 Foundation counts on a new platform on the Internet to publicize work and to capture allies in the fighting for child protection in Internet.

The brand new Volunteer Portal of the Madrid Community, to which introduction Alia2 Foundation assisted last 23rd of March, acts as a link between solidarity organizations and citizens interested in voluntary work, and is a space for sharing experiences between persons related to this area.



The Volunteer Portal includes several contents, like resources and actions taken by the Madrid Community regarding volunteering, information about regional voluntary action associations, projects in development and that need urgent help or current legislation about this activity.


The Volunteer Portal is especially dedicated to all those citizens that could be willing to participate in this solidarity world but, nevertheless, do not because they do not know about the suitable ways to access. In order to solve all these questions, the Madrid Community puts today this tool at the service of everyone”, said Engracia Hidalgo, advisor for Family and Social Affairs.


The Volunteer Portal is located inside the web www.madrid.org and offers information to the 150.000 active volunteers and to those people who are interested in doing this activity.


In addition, the site includes information about the Volunteers School of the Madrid Community, which offers yearly more than 170 free courses for volunteer training. This way it is pretended to approach the citizens to the projects that give life to the volunteer movement of Madrid.
