ALIA2 FOUNDATION WAS INVITED TO EXHIBIT THEIR WORK AT THE MADRID ASSEMBLY

The Madrid Assembly invited, last February 15, to Alia2 Foundation to present their work to the political parties in the room. During the exhibition issues was raised in the fight for an Internet safer for our children.

The Director of Alia2 Foundation, Miguel Comin, asked for the regulation of the figure of the undercover agent already provided for by the law but ineffective because of a lack of development of the regulation. The function of this team would be to infiltrate the social networks posing as consumers of child pornography to attract the attention of pedophiles, identified them and arrested them. This was a request already made by Juan Salom, Head of the Telematics Crime Group of the Civil Guard in the conference press presenting the Alia2 report on 8th of February.

Alia2 Foundation also took the opportunity to seek greater involvement from the companies responsible for social networks and telecommunications companies. In this way it was requested that, when profiles are identified as suspected of having the pourpose of exchanging child pornography, they proceed to report the fact in the respective countries, in addition to closing the profile.

During the visit of Alia2 Foundation to the Madrid Assembly, it was also addressed the issue of the importance of education so that our children will learn to use social networks safely. All the political parties agreed today that the Internet is an essential tool for the studies and to search for information for our children.

All political parties represented in the Madrid Assembly valued Alia2 Foundation work in the field of training both teachers and students and parents.
